We were having a picnic in the car on our journey back from Yorkshire (puffin photos to follow) when we spotted this hare in a Breckland field. The smudge in the lower left corner of the top photo is the car bonnet, which I have left in situ to show just how close we were to the animal. I wish the photos were better but it was a matter of shooting through the windscreen at speed! As we nibbled our pistachios we noticed other hares further out in the furrows. They are such majestic animals to watch.
