There are so many cats in our road that I have actually stopped putting bird food out, even though it goes right against my instincts But every time I do I first get a flurry of dunnocks, tits and finches; then within days at least one cat will take up residence underneath the feeder. So it feels as though I am actually paving the way for bird destruction! I do miss them though when they don't come.Joannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05232567173091607831noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1478882493164975499.post-78680421132207960122014-08-11T16:52:32.672+01:002014-08-11T16:52:32.672+01:00What a wonderful variety of life flourishes around...What a wonderful variety of life flourishes around your silver birch (my downy doesn't seem quite so blessed). I wonder how that compares to the sycamore, we have loads around here and I am forever weeding out the seedlings. Somehow I wouldn't mind as much if they were silver birch seedlings - tree prejudice in action! A quite magnificent array of birds you get in your garden, proof of the value of creating a bird-friendly environment and feeding them too.Janet/Plantaliscioushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15605580157193047780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1478882493164975499.post-66105456413377892122014-08-07T11:20:48.498+01:002014-08-07T11:20:48.498+01:00How fortunate all those seeds don't germinate!...How fortunate all those seeds don't germinate!Lucy Corrander Now in Halifax!https://www.blogger.com/profile/14685242329129914772noreply@blogger.com
